Track every delivery in real time
Your dispatchers see all drivers on a map. Your customers see where their order is — with ETA and status push. Fewer inbound calls, more trust, better customer ratings.
Live tracking shows the GPS position of every driver in real time — both internally for dispatch and externally for the end customer via a tracking link. Combined with ETA calculation and automatic status pushes, it measurably reduces queries and increases customer satisfaction.
Dispatch map with all drivers
The dispatch board shows all active drivers on a real-time map: position as an icon, colour-coded by status (free, on route, on break), open jobs as a connecting line to the destination. The dispatcher sees at a glance: who is near job #144? Who is nearly done and can take the next job? Click on a driver: full shift data, current route, remaining deliveries.
Customer tracking link
As soon as a driver picks up an order, the customer automatically receives a tracking link via push or SMS. The link opens a map with the driver icon in real time. ETA is calculated dynamically: driver is 2.3 km away, approximately 8 minutes at current traffic. The map updates automatically — no reload needed. Customer tracking runs under your brand, not FahrerSystem.
3-min push: driver almost there
Configure an automatic push notification for customers when the driver is less than 3 minutes away: 'Your order is almost here! Driver is approximately 3 minutes away.' This gives the customer time to come to the door and eliminates the 'I was just out' scenario. Timing configurable: 3, 5 or 10-minute warning.
Complete status history per job
Every job has a gapless status history: order received (timestamp), driver assigned, pickup confirmed, en route, delivered (with GPS coordinates). This history is visible in the admin dashboard and serves as proof in disputes: 'My delivery never arrived' can be refuted to the second.
ETA calculation with traffic data
ETA is not calculated from straight-line distance but based on the current route in Google Maps — with real-time traffic data. Traffic jam on the main road? ETA extends automatically and the customer sees the updated time. The dispatcher also sees the updated ETA and can proactively notify the customer if a delay exceeds a threshold.

Common questions about live tracking
Do customers see the driver's exact name and photo?
This is configurable. Default: customers see the driver's first name and an anonymised avatar. You can enable a real driver photo or disable it entirely. Many restaurants prefer anonymous for privacy reasons.
Does customer tracking work when the ordering app is closed?
Yes. The tracking link is a public URL that opens in a web browser. No app download required, no login. The customer receives the link via push or SMS and opens it in the browser.
How long is the tracking link valid?
The link is valid for 24 hours after delivery. After that it shows a 'Delivery completed' page with the delivery timestamp.
