Table reservation — directly in your system
Online reservations without OpenTable commission or TheFork fees: guests book directly through your website or app, you manage everything in your dashboard. Time grid, table capacities, deposit and no-show protection are set up in 15 minutes.
An integrated table reservation gives your guests the ability to book directly with you around the clock — without going through booking platforms that charge €1.50–€2.50 per cover or monthly fees. GastroSystem is the reservation system already built into your platform.
Configure time grid and table capacities
Define time slots for reservations: every 15, 30 or 60 minutes, separately for lunch service and dinner service. Each table gets a capacity and a day profile (e.g. table 1 up to 4 persons, table 7 evenings only). The system checks capacity on every booking and prevents overbooking automatically. Guests only see available times.
Deposit and credit card guarantee
For large groups or events you can require a deposit at reservation (e.g. €10 per person, paid by credit card at booking) or just a credit card guarantee without immediate charge. If the guest doesn't show and doesn't cancel in time, the configured no-show fee is charged automatically. Smaller tables can book without a fee — configurable by party size or table size.
Automatic confirmation and reminder
Immediately after booking the guest receives a confirmation email with date, time, party size and an iCal download link. 24 hours before the booking an automatic reminder email goes out. The reminder includes a 'Cancel' link — guests who cancel in time free up the table. You no longer send any manual emails.
Automate no-show protection
Define the no-show window: anyone who cancels later than, for example, 6 hours before the booking or doesn't show at all pays the configured fee. The system charges the amount automatically from the stored credit card and sends a confirmation email. You see all no-shows in the dashboard and can manually override in exceptional cases.
iCal export and calendar integration
All reservations can be subscribed to as an iCal feed — directly in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. This gives you and your team a live view of the occupancy plan in your familiar calendar tool. No separate software, no logging into the dashboard for a daily overview.

Common questions about reservations
Can I set different deposit rules for small and large groups?
Yes. You define rules by party size: from 1 person no guarantee, from 6 persons credit card hold, from 10 persons €15 deposit per person. Each group books automatically with the right rule.
Can I set seasonal blackout periods?
Yes. Enter closure dates, relocation periods or events for which the restaurant is not bookable. During these periods no reservations are possible — guests see an information message.
How do I see the evening's occupancy at a glance?
The dashboard shows a day view with all reservations as a time grid. You see party size, name and status (confirmed, arrived, no-show) at a glance. iCal feed for calendar integration is included.
